Philadelphia, PA – In advance of an impending industry-backed bill to allow high-cost, long-term pay day loans in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia town Council grabbed the first step toward fending down their own attempts by adopting a resolution, calling on people in the overall set up to oppose these legislation.

For over a decade, the out-of-state payday lenders have-been attempting to push their unique predatory financial loans into Pennsylvania by lobbying for rules that will eviscerate state hats on interest and charge for customer financing. (more…)
